Sad

Boy, this has not been a good week at all.  This is my Becky's "baby" Skittsy.  We got her for Becky at the Animal Rescue League 8 years ago when her first BF broke her heart.  Skittsy was the runt of the litter but a scrappy kitty.  She stayed with me the first year Becky was in college and terrorized Grizzly.

Skittsy's kidneys are too small for her and never quite developed.  She was doing very well on a special diet from the vet's.  Skittsy is not doing well at all now.  She was wobbly on Mother's Day.  She is near death tonight at an emergency vet hospital.  They really wanted to put her down but Becky is totally distraught and beside herself and couldn't do it.  I don't think the kitty will make it through the night.  She is in an incubator with IV fluids.  Becky is paying a fortune as a last ditch effort to save her heart from breaking.  In turn, my heart is totally breaking for I know that my daughter is going to lose the pet that she totally adores.  Keep Becky in your thoughts and prayers.  She just started back to school yesterday after a two week break and has a class tomorrow that she is not permitted to miss.  Mama is also distraught right now.

I haven't had time to get the tags done for those that have requested them and tonight I'm just don't have the energy to.  I promise I'll get them to you. Here are a couple of snags.

HUGS  Chris

Poor Skittsy, it's so sad when a pet falls so ill. I'm praying for you all and especially Becky. I know it broke my heart when my cat died when I was 16yrs old, he was 20 and had been with me all my life, we'd been inseparable. I can understand how Becky feels and it's hard for you too, knowing how hard it is for her. Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

Being the huge cat lover I am I'm sitting here in tears reading this. It's just never easy to let them go, even when we know they are suffering. Sometimes though I guess that is the best thing for them, but the most heartbreaking for us. Keeping Becky and the kitty in my thoughts and prayers. I know the Kitty is very sick but I'm hoping some miracle happens and you have good news to share next time. They aren't just pets, furry things that beg for food and attention lol, they are truly family.
Hope things get better.

Will keep Skittsy in my prayers, that she go easily & peacefully to The Rainbow Bridge.
May Becky find comfort knowing that Skittsy will be with many of our beloved furr babies, waiting there for us.
God bless,
Sugar

We know that when we adopt a pet, and love our pets, that when they die, we will be heart-broken. And yet, we do it anyway. We do it so that we can give love to an animal, and give it a good life. It sounds like little Skitty had a very good life. It is so sad to read about a pet passing, the only thing more innocent than a pet, I think, is a human baby. I imagine this is why we love them so. Hugs to your daughter, and to you, and sweet thoughts for the kitty. bea

(((((((((((((Chris and Becky)))))))))))))))) I'm sad too to hear about the kitty. I will keep you in my prayers as I know how heart breaking the loss of a beloved pet can be. With time it does get easier to focus on the memories of all the good times. Take good care; be good to yourselves and maybe do something special when you are feeling a little better. Some ideas: bubble bath (my fav), nice ride/walk/hike out in nature, expensive chocolates, ice cream cones...Ok I can see where this is going ;-) on a sugar high so I will stop here~Love ya, Sassy (Deb)

Oh man Chris. This bites. I feel so bad for Becky. You too. I know it's too soon to talk about it, but maybe a trip to the pound when she's ready. For a new kitten who will need a good home and a loving caregiver. Holding you in my thoughts and prayers.
Love ya, Barb
PS Give Becky a hug for me & while you're at it, have her give you one from me too.

I know just what Becky is going through as my daughter lost both her cats from kidney failure.....they were also her last link with her nan (other than me of course) as she had taken them on after Mums care home closed and the cats had nowhere to go. I am keeping everything crossed for Becky & Skittsy!!

Awww the poor Kitty.  Sometimes its best to think about whats best for the kitty.  I know it hurts to put them to sleep, but we don't want them to suffer either.  I hope things work out for the best...  Linda
