Another Week and some SNAGS

Autumn seems to be approaching but you'd never know it.  It is 87 here today and extremely humid; not that I'm complaining.  I love summer weather.  The pool is green so I gave Grizzly a bath.  He was smelling pretty "doggy" lately.  I've used Dawn, among other things on him, but can't totally get rid of his doggy smell.  Hartz used to sell an herbal shampoo that my son said made the dog smell like a "sissy" which translate to good.  Couldn't find it anywhere anymore.  I used Hartz citrus this time.  Not sure about that either.  His coat is so darned thick.  I'm hoping that we get some warm weather at the end of October so he can get shampooed again.  I have to do it outside.  He behaves out there.  Sounds awful, but I hose him down.  The water in the hose was warmer than warm today.

Anyway, my BF came home Monday which started a week of total exhaustion for me.  I didn't need to spend the nights; just until he showered and was in bed.  I would get off the bus; go to his house to see what he needed; run to the store or stores and pick up the things, drop them off; go home, get dinner ready, do laundry, etc., take a bath and fly back to his house until around 10.  He lives 4 miles from me so needless to say, I was whooped by Friday.  He's doing extremely well.  His visiting nurse comes 3 times a week.  He is only using oxygen at night.  He'll see the doctor in a month.

We went to Target last night.  He took his portable oxygen with him because it was unbearably humid here and hot.  He did really well.  Tomorrow, after work, we will go to the grocery store since it's going to drop into the 70's.  I'm sure cabin fever is setting in.

The girl I work with was rear ended a few weeks ago and will be off until October so I've been trying to get myself into the overload mode.  When I worked upstairs, that was a constant thing.

Megan came home to work this weekend.  Still no loan....the school held things upthis time.  Becky is still grieving the break up big time.  She is ok during the week but Megan said weekends are awful for her.

We had monsoon rains all day Friday and most of yesterday.  I didn't get my walk in on either day.  I could have last night but was lazy.  I was also darned lazy this morning.  I'll take Grizzly around the cul de sac tonight to get us back on track again.

I went grocery shopping and spent $98 on just about nothing.  Isn't it just awful what it costs now to buy food????????

Have a great week!  I have some pictures on my phone that I have to send to Becky so she can send them to my e-mail address.  I got rid of my web access so she has to send them to me.  I took them last week on one of my city walks.

Here are a couple of snags.  I was cleaning out my hard drive and transferring to my external drive and found these:

ROFL....this next one looks just like me....HUGS CHRIS

It's turning fall here. I'll hate when winter arrives as it'll be so cold for me.

what cute snags!!! glad your BF is home, but take care of yourself, Chris; seems like you are burning the candle at both ends; we don't want you sick/injured in any way

we're getting into fall weather; a bit cooler in the mornings/evenings but still warm afternoons

I hear you with food; amazing what things cost! my husband bought a can of Campbell's Chunky soup today $3.00 a can! how did that happen??

It was really hot here today too.  I think Mother Nature has forgotten what month we're in.  I'm glad your BF is doing well.  I'll continue to keep him in my prayers.

Very pretty tags. The last one also looks like me!! lol Snagged the top one. Thanks for sharing. I have 2 German Shepherds and the vet told me one time to not bath a Shepherd but 2 or 3 times a year. He said to take BABY POWDER and rub most of it off of your hands, then rub the dog with it.  Can't use much or will dry out their skin. It works on my dogs. Was really surprised it worked so well.

My step dad had me exhausted after his brain surgery, 20 dr. visits, 2 X a day for 2 wks hospital, and 2X a day for 2 weeks at nursing home. I did not have to cook for him, thank goodness. I lost 8 pounds in 6 weeks. I needed to loose weight but not that way!! lol Sure hope you get rested because it can really stress a person out. Price of food and gas is out of this world! Hope you have a restful week. Hugs, Janie

I hope you make it into work ok...i hate it that you had all the winds and damage too from Ike.
I hate giving the dogs a bath. They just sit and LOVE that warm water falling over them though. I hope you somehow rested up from the ordeal of last week...i know taking care of BF plus working was a huge drain. We barely got any rain at all! LOVE YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Love the snags. I snagged. LOL My foot looks worse that it is. I've really been surprised at the lack of constant pain I thought I would had. The first 2 days were the worst. My hands hurt worse. Especially with the weather change. It's supposed to get down to 50 tonight. That's pretty chilly for Wst TX this early in the Fall. I'm going to the dermatologist Monday. Say a prayer please. I have a couple of scary looking spots. I'm sure they are nothing (she says holding her breath). It it's not one think it's another.
Glad your BF is home and doesn't need constant care. Don't make yourself sick running around and doing extra work AT work. Sorry about Becky. Hope things get better for her soon. Tom's had a few dates, but some of the women he's dated turn out to just be looking for someone to support them and their kids. Not that that'd be a bad thing. But you know what I mean.
Oh and no, my foot doesn't have any pain....well no more pain that neuropathy causes. The surgery was surprisingly not that bad after a couple days.
Have a good week. Hugs, Barb

Glad to hear that your BF is home and doing well.
I can imagine how exhausted you must be. I bet your BF is very thankful to you for being there for him.
Nice that the weather is still warm and you enjoy the temps.
I am so ready for autumn and look forward to the temp changes.
"Ike" was a big scare for us, but we did not get hit or have any damage from the hurricane. My thoughts and prayers are with the people influenced by this horrific hurricane.
Love the snags.... thanks for sharing. Wishing you a less stressful week ahead of you. Best get well wishes for your BF.
Take care. Hugs,
Maria

When I had a Shepherd, I used to bathe him in my Honey Almond bath gel.  He smelled great!
I think he may have felt a little gay the first day after, but :0. ~Mary

Hi Chris, that's great news to hear your boyfriend is doing so well. I'm sure you are exhausted from all the running back and forth after you get off work. I despise going to the grocery store anymore. It makes ya hungry to look at all the things ya can't afford and have to pass up, lol. Hope you are having a great week and getting some rest.
Hugs
Debbie

Glad your BF is doing well.  I hate laundry, shopping, the cost of just about everything and the doggy smell on Zoey.  Haven't found much except Suave Coconut that makes her smell better.
