Snag or Tag and Disbelief

I know many of you have been almost as anxious for Megan's results as I was.  I'm sitting here in disbelief; yet not.  Megan does not have cervical cancer!  Not at all.  She has moderate dysplasia which will be taken care of in January with cryosurgery.

It took so long to get the results because they sent her biopsies and original smears to an independent lab.  They were sure the biopsy results were an error.  Megan had biopsies done from her Pap smear which were more than one smear.  She most definitely had Stage 1A squamous cell carcinoma.  Now, she doesn't.  The first smears still show it.  The biopsied tissue looked cancerous but there is no cancer at all in them....none.  They are only moderate abnormal cells.  The independent lab results were identical to the hospital's lab and the tissue and DNA in all the samples were Megan's.  Now, they have no explanation but I do.....my child was healed.  I consider this to be a total miracle as a result of prayer.  Megan still doesn't believe it.  I called after they called her.  She called me back and still wasn't convinced.  She still will need Pap smears every three months for a year and then every six months if they stay clean.  She does carry the HPV virus which will not go away but thanks be to the Lord and to all of your prayers, she does not have cervical cancer.

Bless all of you from the bottom of my heart!

HUGS!!!!!!   Chris

Wow! Ya, many do have the virus & can tackle it but others can't. Keep her Immune System up too to fight it by chance. Finals week are stressful times. I just had a student come to me & say he did what I told him & went exercising etc & eating right this week of all weeks and it was a different finals week for him. Try Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga, Massages, Mediation ETC!!!!

Glad it was an independent lab..otherwise I'd suggest a second opinion at a totally different hospital.

Oh Chris, I so believe in the power of prayer, and once again we've seen proof. Thank God! Now we just have to keep on praying, and for Jackie's sister as well.

I've been where Megan is right now, and I had cryosurgery done also. Email me if you want some info on the cryosurgery. It might help Megan to know what to expect.

Hugs, Mandy ~

I believe it!  That she was healed!  My sister had her test done, and where they saw something on the sonogram before, when they went in.. its not there now.  In the colon.  She still still has the 2 tumors in her liver, but the future is looking much brigher.  The power of prayers?  You bettcha! :)

I had the same thing Megan had, at one time.. they just did that cryosurgery on me (which is basically just freezing the cervix to destroy the dysplasia), and she will just have to return for follow up pap smears, usually every 3 months for a year.. and then it's usually fine.

I happy that is one less thing you and she will have to worry about!

love you

Oh THANK GOD, Chris.  I was just talking to Richard about Megan yesterday and how worried I have been. I've been praying for y'all.  Yes God heard our prayers. Behind as I am I scanned through all the entries I've missed so I could get this news.  What a blessed Christmas this is goint to be.  I went through a similar situation in 1976 & had the Cryosurgery myself.  Please give Megan and big hug from me and take it back as one for yourself from me.  Whew!
Holiday hugs, Barb
