Autumn SNAGS

Yikes, the wind is really picking up around here.  I know Lisa Jo was saying that it is awful in Ohio.  Should have kept my mouth shut.  I had the AC on and didn't even notice until the house started creaking.  I'm supposing this is what is going to cause our temps to drop drastically overnight.  Pfft.....Just found out the winds are the remnants of Ike.  I didn't realize that storm moved so fast.  Fun, fun getting to work today.  Footnote:  Megan stayed the night here.  She was scared to death driving home from Eat N Park.  No way was I letting her drive over an hour to Pittsburgh last night.  We are going this morning some time.

LOL.....I really, really could go for a good caramel apple now or a chocolate covered one.

those tags are so cute! I love the caramel apple ones! Yum!

stay safe from the wind; its been interesting to read people's journals today from the midwest to the east coast start to feel the effects or being in the effects of Ike's aftermath; that was one big storm!

Since that ugly weather was in Ohia, and now visiting you in Pittsburg, it's only a matter of hours before it visits me!  I welcome the cooler temps!  Enjoy your evening.

We just missed Ike by 2 days when we flew home from Pittsburgh.  We had a layover in Dallas/Fortworth, on the 11th.. that in itself was kind of strange.  Flying on 9/11.  I thought the airport would be practically empty and the plane too, but they weren't.  People just going about their business.

I'm glad it wasn't too bad for you, though.  At least you all got some much needed rain!

Love  you
jackie

Glad to hear your home did not get damaged and that it is over with for you. Wise decision that Megan stayed with you last night.
Hope you get a few more sunny days to enjoy these last days of summer.

Iv'e been away again Chris so catching up once more or trying should I say He-He..Yes those hurricanes have been a nightmare and a big worry for me too.Son lives in Louisiana just now so Gustav sent me crazy with worry. He rang this week to say a sixty foot tree fell in his neighbours back garden through the neighbouring house roof it landed, broke all his garden fence..This was the affects of all the past winds and rain from Gustav and storms from the tail end of Ike passing to Houston.Boy will I be happy when storm season is over there .I hope BF is still doing well Chris in my thought always .Not out of sight out of mind with Motherhen believe me.No way would I have let my daughter drive  either. You sit back and have one of those deliciuos looking apples it will be a well earned treat.Take Care of yourself.Prayers being said for all who are affected by these terrible hurricanes and for BF a speedy recovery.Love to all.God Bless Kath astoriasand http://journals.aol.co.uk/astoriasand/MYSIMPLERHYMES

I'm glad you don't have any damage from the storm. If the winds were anything like here it would be hard to handle a car and keep it on the road. I made a fresh apple cobbler this morning, the house smells so good.
