Thinking Spring/SNAG or TAG

LOL...It may be Palm Sunday and Easter may be next week, and I may be thinking spring but western Pa. isn't on the same line of thought.  Not that it's awful but just dreary.  40's and cloudy.  20 at night...brrr.  No sign of green grass or anything sprouting yet.

It was a busy week.  Meg is in South Beach.  She called from Ft. Lauderdale on Thurs.  They were waiting for the town car to pick them up and transport them to South Beach.  I'm supposing you need to arrive in proper fasion in South Beach.    Hmm....mom has to wonder what's wrong with this picture...lol.  Like where is my "vacay"?  She called yesterday and had gotten really burnt which is unusual.  She was using 15 and has never burnt in her life.  She's been tropical before.  Oh well....she did have to send me photos of the beach and sun on her cell phone...grrrr.

Joey passed his union test and has an interview on April 9th.  Good thoughts and prayers would be appreciated as I know he gets interview jitters very badly and would love to get this job.  He's been working on it for over a year now.

My mom is doing much better.  She still looks pretty exhausted but has improved drastically.  She is asking her doctor Tues if she can do an Easter dinner.  I'm trying my best to have her postpone it for a week or two.  Megan will be back and wants her and I to go and cook dinner at my mother's.  I still think that's far too much commotion right now.

Grizzly's hepatic profile came back better than last year's so keeping my fingers crossed.  He seems to be hopping around like a pup today but tomorrow he could be hobbling again.

If you get a chance, please stop by Bea's Wanderer A very sad day.  Her Max got sick  just yesterday and was gone by afternoon.  As expected, she is in shock and devastated.

That's about it for now.  Enjoy your Sunday!

HUGS  Chris

Chris, thank you for thinking of me today. We buried our little Max this morning in our back yard. My son drove home to be with us. I know we will be okay, but the quietness in our house is too hard for my ears... we still have Misty, but she wasn't loud and boisterous as Max. Misty is all quiet and calm. I will miss my Max, but when we retire I am sure I will want another black Miniature Schnauzer to keep me company. Spring is definitely in the air this weekend. The flowers are blooming here... we buried Max beneath a young tree. I think in Florida one needs to use at least a sunblock of 30 or 45...!! And not stay outside between 10 a.m and 4:00 pm. I hope she doesn't get too burned... it is too risky these days. I know she is having fun there. take care, bea

Thanks, Chris for letting us know about Bea's loss.... I put it on the 'call for support' journal, but it seems that most have already visited her.  Thank you.

Beautiful tags, Chris. Glad your mom is better. Wishing Joey luck on the interview. When I used to get interview jitters a friend of mine said "Think of it this way....it's the only time in life you get to spend an hour talking about nothing but YOURSELF!" Not sure if that will help...but I did see the humor in it so maybe Joey will, too.
Glad Meg is having fun! OUCH on the sunburn. Maybe she needs to use SPF 45? Gotta watch that stuff.
Take care of yourself and I hope you have a wonderful Easter. Hope to hear from you before then.
Love ya,
Pam

Wonderful Spring graphic.  It's not quite Spring here in the mountains, but occasionally we have the sun peek out to warm our spirits and minds.  I am praying for your mom, Joey, Meg, Grizzly and for you!  Have a blessed Sunday, Penny  http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

ok, here I am again, just wanted to try and make the tag request seperated. Your weather sounds like ours but freezing at night here but not that low in temps--thats cold and yeppers our ground is frozen here in WA too--I keep waiting but it seems Mother Nature isnt ready for Spring yet. I wonder if bears that hybernate in winter are still sleeping too lol.
I was glad to hear Megan arrived in South Beach safely and u gotta see pictures, although I know it makes ya wish you were there . .I was sorry she got sunburned-that can be painful. Ive always found that the old noxema cream in a jar works great for sunburn.
Thats awesome about Joey and yes will say prayers-keep us updated and was also glad to hear Grizzlys results and doing better.

Thought the idea of postponing the Easter Dinner with your mom sounded good-sure would make it alot easier on her and you all could be together.Easter sure seems to be arriving quickly.

Will try and stop by Bea's Wanderer-dont know her but feel so bad she lost her Max

Keeping you all in my prayers. Happy St Patricks Day (early)-thank you for all u do and wishing you a great day! hugs and love-Carolina

I always pray that our Pets are in Heaven and one day we will be together again...will say a prayer for both of them. hugs and love and pass the kleenex, I feel so bad....

I hope your mom continues to do better.  It is a worry when a bronchial infection really gets a person down.  The cold weather can't help.  I do so much better in a mild clime. Thanks for info on St. Paddy's Day about west Penn.  Nobody even drank in my hometown on the 17th of March, which is why I might have loved it  Guess not enough Irish around.  We celebrated it in connection with the church.  However my dad and others drank plenty other holidays to make up for it.  We used to have a mass town picnic down in one of the canyons on Easter.  That wss great, too.  This would be after church Easter services.  I am going to post a big photo of Dante in the big Easter Bunny's lap.  So won't snag an Easter one. Dante saw it and said, "Oh I remember that."  HIs mom got him photographed well.  Gerry

Love your tags.. they're so spring... wish the weather would catch on to it.
Your daughter needs to watch about the sun global warming is killing all that for everyone. We never use to burn either and now the last two years have been bad about that regardless of using the high protection lotions. Easter is gonna suck over here cold and rain.  Poor Kyan can't even go out and hunt eggs. It's rainy and freezing here today.
Take care, Chrissie

Just a reminder: I know you are busy and have other things on your mind.
But, in your last journal, you asked us to let us know if any tags are still missing.
The ones from this entry are missing. Pretty please, surprise me anytime you have time to do so. Thank you, my friend. Hugs, Maria
