Some Snags or Tags

This has seemed like a super long week.  Actually, it has been because this is actually my first week back since the holidays.  I think it's been three weeks with at least one day off.  I have been so tired every night.  I've had no creative sparks hitting me.  Thank the Lord the weekend is coming because I am so far behind on alerts (when I get them) and journal reading.  That's one thing I love about a day off.  I feel like I'm missing so much when I don't get around to visit.

I'm still smoking but less than half a pack a day.  I'm hoping this weekend to conquer the cold turkey thing since it's a long weekend for me.  Either way, I'm slowly but surely lowering the amount I smoke.  I bought 3 packs in the past 8 days which is far less than what I would have smoked.

One more day...yay!

I am so glad to be working part time right now. I just got so burned out, I was working like 60 hours a week there for a bit. It is nice to take a break and actually see my house and kids.  Hope you get the much deserved rest you need.

((((((((Hugs)))))))) to you in the battle to quit smoking! It's not easy but you will find in the long run that you will save yourself some bad news health wise with one less vice to deal with.  It's been a super busy week here with Mom in hospital and the tumor they found. Had to get in touch with family members and we all are keeping fingers crossed the biopsy comes out benign. She still has to have it removed but say a prayer that the news is good. My daughter wants to come home but from Guam to the USA is a big expense.
I could use a Yuengling right about now :))))))))
Keep up the good fight...Hugs from Doreen

I think you are doing wonderful with your stopping cigarettes.
Wrap that pack of cigarettes in notebook paper and then wrap it with a rubber band. Snap that band when you get one out and again when you wrap it back...It will help you lower the amount you smoke!!! I swear it does.
Love ya,
carlene

Chris,
With our snow days, holidays and such, my wife has not worked a full week since December 15th.  I, of course, work out of the home office and havent missed a day!
I am soooooo proud of you trying to quit smoking.  Keep at it Chris, you can beat it.

What's the weather like up there? It's 1:20 am Saturday morning and 21 degrees and that is about what the high is supposed to be Sat.  It's foggy, misty, and freezing.  Icy I'm sure. This town is SO ill equipped for icy & snowy weather, we just don't have that  much of it.  The groc stores looked like Armegeddon was coming. Keep up the good work with not smoking.
Warm hugs, Barb

Hiya hon, your doing great cutting down. I on the other hand after 20 some odd days picked up a pack of cigarettes. It was an emotional week for me (shrugs) I'm nowhere close to smoking what i was. So perhaps when things settle down I'll try again. I loved the snags, especially the one with attitude. That is me all the way.

Hang in there Chris.. you can do it!  I hope this weekend you are able to do the "Cold Turkey" thing, because I think that's going to be your best bet.  Don't give that cigarette so much power!

I'm behind on alerts as well.. trying to get a bit caught up today.  I'll be gone most of today and tomorrow (OMG..the girl has a life..lol), but I do have Monday off.  I think THAT will be my true catch up day!  I hate being so behind.  Plus, I need to leave an entry myself.  My last one was on the 7th.

I'm keeping you in my prayers, Chris...

Love you
Jackie

Good Morning Chris,

Wishing you all the best of luck with quitting the smokes.  I'd give anything for my Mom to be able to stop...she just doesn't seem to want to yet.  You're very wise to try to stop.  Good luck!!

Take Care,
~Bilinda~
