Where's Chrissy Been? Some Snags or Tags

Yikes, first of all I'm really embarassed that I've been away from JLand for almost two months.  I've been trying to keep up with alerts and reading journals but got totally away from PSP and my own journal.  Mother's Day was wet, dreary but a nice day except for an aching on the top of my head.  It felt like a good old-fashioned "goose egg."  I didn't give it a thought because I'm clumsy.  The next day, I developed one of the most severe earaches I've ever had.  Even the outside of the ear hurt.  I pushed myself through work.  I developed a pimple on my eyebrow Wed.  Weird but WTH.  I took of Thurs and Friday because my ear was killing me.  I got an antibiotic which started getting rid of the ear pain.  But there was this "ice pick" pain on my head behind my ear which was excrutiating and getting worse.  It would come in waves.  Long story short...lol...as if....my son insisted I go to the ER Friday night.  My uncle died when he was 53 from an aneursym that burst with much the same symptoms.  The CT scan showed nothing.  As I was getting ready to leave, I started breaking out all over my forehead and eyelid with blisters.  I mentioned it to Joey.  The doctor overheard and flew over.  Shinglesand that was what was causing all the odd symptoms.  He was shocked because they weren't there when he had looked in my eyes.  I was extremely lucky to have had that headache because they caught my break out within 72 hrs.  I took Valtrex.  I was miserable for a couple of weeks.  Now really there is no pain.  Just an odd sensation of my scalp crawling and the same with the eyelids.  That's from the nerves but I can live with it.

Megan's internship was retracted late Friday before she was to start the next Monday because of the background check.  We all learn our lessons.  She is back waittressing and living at home.  It's been a struggle as we always seem to be at each other's throat with my son caught in the middle.   Luckily for both of us, she is working mostly nights so we don't need to cross pathes much.  She still is not sure where to live in the fall for one more semester.

Right after I got my new cell phone, I somehow convinced my BF to get a cell phone on my family plan.  Megan couldn't get ahold of him one day when she needed picked up.  So, he got one with a camera.  ROLF...he is a text message addict.  He texts me all the time, texts his son, grandson, daughter, etc.  It's unlimited so that's ok.  He adds all kinds of graphic and noises plus sends me pictures.  He was just being stubborn.

Weather..ugh...it sucks totally here in western Pa.  The first week in June was 90 all week.  I struggled to get the darned pool clean.  I hate that job.  It took the whole week of messing with chemicals.  As soon as the pool was ready, the weather took a nose dive.  70's, total cloud cover and rain non-stop.  Of course, no flooding so I feel bad about complaining.  I've been in the pool twice.  I took off Wed. and Thurs before the 4th because I knew Wed would be sunny and it was and it was the only sun we've seen.  It has rained non-stop since.  The sun is out today so I hope I'm not jinxing it.  There's some stationary front south of us causing this that won't move.  Blah.   or as LJ says...lol....I made this just for Lisa Jo.......think I just might make a couple more since I feel so "PHOOEY" right now.  Feel free to snag.

Thanks to all of you who have checked on me, left me messages, etc.  You are all the best which is why I felt so bad about not making any entries.  Actually, I feel bad about doing entries if I have requests to fill.  I know I've missed some e-mails,etc. so please remind me because it's been so long.  I have everything on my back up drive.  I also feel bad about doing entries if I'm not caught up on alerts.  I had a snafu with my security crap again yesterday...no virus protection and McAfee would not download.  After two phone calls to half English speaking folks and two live tech support tries, I found a gem.  She had me send her my sysinfo in an e-mail.  I had remnants of a microsoft virus program left that needed removed.  She also had me download through Explorer..voila!  I was getting more furious by the minute with all the lame excuses I was getting plus the fact that I had no virus protection, just a "stinger" to run from McAfee.  So it was ugly outside, and my journals plans were ruined....a big PHOOEY!  Love that word, LJ.

I made a couple of blinkies for my PSP group, which was the first I had dabbled in PSP for ages.  I made the top tag in the midst of my pc woes yesterday.  I'm not sure who created all the stuff I used but the word art is from Shelly/Roxymama.  She rocks!  Hopefully, my creative juices are flowing again.

Well, this is long enough.  I hope I haven't bored you all to death.  Hope you all had a great 4th!  Love & Hugs to all!

                                     CHRIS

I'm so glad to see you back Chris! Also glad you got the shingles sorted, I hear they can be very painful. I've had nothing but problems with my computer all year, I hope yours are under control now ~ I hate not being able to come online! I always feel guilty about doing an entry when I have alerts to be read too! Have a good Sunday, I hope the weather will turn for you soon. Well I'm glad you're back to your thing now. Those graphics are just to darn cute... I LOVE THE PHOOEY ONE. I started laughing when I saw the bag over the head. Looks to me like CAB is back in business again. Don't feel bad about not having time to get to all the journals. Anymore I have to read here and there. We've been having all that rain and crap cold weather too. It's July and this is the first year that I've not been running the a/c because I'm freezing and if you know me I don't freeze ever. Kinda makes me wonder what is gonna happen this winter I might be in for it. Good thing my furnance is new LOL.
Take care and Hugs, Chrissie

No need to feel guilty about it... we're just glad you are back, and feeling better. I hope that creepy scalp sensation goes away soon. That must be annoying. Cute blinkies... our weather has been similar to yours. It's cloudy today, poured rain yesterday, and on the 4th. Welcome back, Chris! bea

{{{{{{Chris}}}}}}]  Welcome back, my sweet friend!  I've never had shingles, but I've seen people who have, and I know they must be  horribly uncomfortable and painful.  They say they are a type of Herpes Virus, just like Cankersores, etc.. and can be aggravated by stress.  You don't have any stress in your life, do you?? lol   Sorry, don't mean to be funny, but I know you 'get it.'

It's just so good to have you back!  I missed you!  I jumped on line and out of all my alerts, I came here first!

Hugs, love, and healing thoughts!

Hi Chrissy,  Nice to have you back again, I haven`t been around much of late myself.  Shingles can be very nasty and my hubby and daughter Kerry have both had it, poor Kerry is quite badly scarred from it and it`s a good thing it wasn`t on her face.  I do hope you are feeling much better now.

Love Sandra xxxx

Hi Chris...it's SO GOOD to hear from you! I've seen you around commenting here and there so I figured you were just on a break. I'm sorry to hear about the Shingles. Man...that's miserable! I hope you're doing better now.
Loved the tags. Your creative juices are definitely flowing!!  Thank you for sharing them.
I hope you update again soon.

((Hugs)) You know I miss you hon. I also know you've been away from the computer for some time due to not smoking...It's rough I know, I've been there since Oct. Our kids do indeed live and learn. Skye is working 2 jobs now and I wonder if she thinks about going back to college. Marriage has most certainly helped her grow up quickly. My heart is heavy that she is sending her husband off to Iraq in Sept.

Sorry to hear you had Shingles hon. I know it can be rather painful. I thought it was a riot Joey is a text maniac, when he was originally opposed to the cell phone. Your graphics are great hon. I haven't been able to stay online for long periods due to the idiotic wireless server I use. Tomorrow I'm calling to get Road Runner and using their service for internet. I hope it works better than what i have now.

The weather is strange here in NY too. Seems we have a rainstorm almost every evening anymore. My garden is loving it, me I could use some dry days to do yard work. Your in my thoughts always dear friend. (Hugs)Indigo

poor you Chris!! I hear shingles is terrible and reading your experience with it; it just confirms that; how awful!! so glad you are feeling better now!!

sorry about Megan's internship; it is sad that people can't see that someone who does something 'wrong' probably has learned their lesson and won't repeat it again, but yet it is held against them for such a long time; makes no sense to me

cute tags! you do great work!

take care of yourself; hope the weather perks up a bit so you can enjoy more pool time this summer

Shingles!  Not fun, but I am glad the doctor caught it fast. I have had them twice but mild cases both times, just a little patch on my hip.  Sounds like you have had plenty to aggravate you.  No need to apologize for what you can't get to.  Turns out that way sometimes.  Just so you are okay.  Gerry

Gee you have been gone a long time! I was beginning to wonder if my alert was working on your journal. :-) Those are cute tags. I will snag the dirt one because I have been playing in the dirt lately!! lol Oh gee! My friend has been dealing with something under her scalp for a year now! I keep telling her I think she has shingles. Hope you have a great week. Blessings, Janie

Love them...been praying for you and will continue...have a great week..I am having problems sending email so am sure it has to do with my wireless and will have to contact them..grrr!

i find it quite rude for anyone to request any tags from you and not even leave a half hearted comment of "nice to see your back" while requesting. UGH.
I love you so.....i am glad the ER doc found the shingles.....Rick's grandma had them and so did many of my residents that i used to take care of and they REALLY do a number on the elderly. Grandma Dorothy was in SO  much pain. I think it is cute that BF loves to text. My kids can text as easily as eating or talking....not me, i am SO slow!!
I hope it quits raining so you can go swimming. I just want you to have a happy summer and be healthy. Thank you SO much for your original and AWESOME tags...i love everything you do and the Phooey one is a classic!

Hey girl! I have been thinking about you and meaning to write. Sorry I've been absent from jLand so much. I should have kept in touch with you better also. I'm so sorry for all you've been through so much. I wish you'd let me know. I thought I was getting better-my depression, my health other things. Then with Rich's surgery, Robin's husband's brain tumor surgery and all the drama after that....I've just been ready to bolt at any second. My diabetes was doing well and I started eating crappy. My blood sugar started going all over the place. So I have to get myself back on track. I feel like I am getting another ulcer, so I'm back on the prilosec. Robiin & her husband are talking and trying mend the damagae that the stress, the steroids and his interfering family have caused. Wish we could get together and have a margarita and catch up. Say....in the Caribbean somewhere? LOL  I WISH. You take care of YOURSELF and let's stay in better touch.
Love ya, Barb

I am so glad you are back. You were missed

I realized a few days ago I'd not seen entries(there are many alerts I am not getting & others tell me they did not get any from me recently)from you & Jackie for so long, & now I came online to see if you 2 had written anything. Yup, finally :-)

Shingles sucks but not as much as a blown aneurysm, glad you were right there when the outbreak happened.

So you feel bad about doing entries & you feel bad about not doing entries, plus you feel bad about other stuff. Did you go to Catholic school?
;o ~Mary

I am very glad to "see" you again. I know, this maybe sounds stupid, but I was so busy and cought up in my little world that I just now realized how I missed your entries. Life has been not an easy one this whole year so far.... I just hope it will get better. - It has to get better, right?
I am sorry to hear about your health problems. Glad you have been feeling better.
Best wishes. Hugs, Maria

Oops...forgot to say that I love your lil blinkies :) They are so snagged :)
And can you please add Maria to the first tag...the castle one?
Thank you...... no rush, do it whenever. Hugs, Maria
