So How Was Your Day? SNAG ONLY

I'm supposing that the tag says it all.....ugh....phooey!

First, though, Lisa Jo has a new puppy, Henry, so that is great.  The best thing so far today.

So how was your day?  Grizzly had to go out this morning as usual.  Well, my poor crippled dog took off like a flash of lightening and pulled me down and dragged me.  There was ice on top of the snow.  I could barely get up.  I got up again...boom...off he went with me.  This happened three times.  My knee is bruised.  I ache all over.

Next was off to get my hair colored.  My hair is one frizzy, nappy mess.  Ta da....I burned the crap out of it with my new curling iron.  So, for the past month, I've been burning my hair every day.  Tammy cut some of it off but it's short.  She colored it but no foils or highlights until it's back to normal.  So I have dark hair.  Different, for sure, plus not many layers.  I had a gift certificate from the kids for Christmas and ended up spending it on $35 worth of products to rehab my hair.  Dear Lord!

Then it was off to the mall for bra shopping.  Oh mercy!  I couldn't find a bra to fit about my upper body chub.   The underwires were killing me.  I have to lose some weight.  After about the 20th, I found a Bali that was supportive and soft...lol.

Ok...time to go home.  Joey had steaks on the grill, carrots and fried rice he made himself.  Wow, that was a nice end to a pretty OCD day.  NOT....I stopped at the little convenience store about a mile from my house to get iced tea and cat food.  As I was backing out of my spot, my brakes went to the floor.  Long story short, I had to pump them off and on the whole way home which, thank the Lord, was all level.  Now, I have no brakes at all.  Do I have a sign on my back that say "Kick Me?"  Why does every single thing I buy with a motor croak or cause me problems when it's almost brand new.  The car has 28,000 miles on it.  I'm suspecting the master cylinder.  Why....because I've had three cars lose the master cylinder on me before with a lot more mileage on them.  All three lost the brakes on huge hills.  At least I was on top of the hill today.

So, AAA is coming tomorrow to tow it to the Pontiac dealer.  My ever so wise brother was a little off target when he was fussing at my mom renewing my Triple A.  I've had my car jumped and now a tow since his fuss.  I sort of hope it is the master cylinder because that would fall under the extended warranty.  The brake fluid is fine.

Nothing on tv tonight.  I'm PO'd as all get out.  I'm stiff and sore.  I have a damned headache.  I also have heartburn.  I need to find a way to the bus on Monday.  I'm still not caught up on reading journals.  Plus, I have no idea what the heck is wrong with my car and I'm terrified that it's not goin to be under warranty.  When in the world will I ever break even?   PHOOEY!

LOL...I'm done venting for now.  Hope your weekend is going better.  HUGS Chris

Sorry about your brakes. I am glad that you didn't lose them and get in a wreck! That's my fear....losing my brakes. You had a rough day today. Go take a hot bath, curl up with a good book and a glass of wine, and just relax!! I'm hoping Sunday is better for both of us!
Love ya,

I've read a couple other journals of ppl who had a bad day today but I think yours was the worst of them all.  I'd be climbing in bed and pulling the covers over my head.  I do not like AAA insurance but I've had AAA Plus for 24 yrs. and I would never give it up even if I didn't use it once in a year or two or five.  It's worth keeping.  Get rid of the Pontiac and get a Ford, or Olds, or a foreign car.  Every single Pontiac I've had have given me headaches with repairs.  Hope you feel better Chris.
Hugs,
D

Chris, I'm sorry you had a bad day; in fact you had five bad days rolled into one; that didn't seem right at all. hope they can get your car fixed under warranty.  The few times I've used AAA, I'm always glad I keep renewing it; such a great service.

(I hope you remember me, I journaled and left abruptly 15 months ago; you made me a sweet tag of a silly corgi pup. I'm back, it is the right time to be back. I'm including a link to my journal, but no obligations to visit)

Rick and i are not speaking right now...he came home and changed the dogs name. PHOOEY. BS.  AH.

First, i totally believe whatever it is, it is under warranty so TRY to not fret till Monday when you find out. At 28,000 miles it is THEIR malfunction, not YOURS. I am really sorry about the hair fiasco and Grizz causing you to fall. If i could, i would come over and take care of you tomorrow. I LOVE YOU SO, lisa
tell BF to come over and do something nice for you!

Sounds like you've had a rough weekend.  I sure hope the work on the car does fall under your warranty.  You do seem to have problems with things that have a motor! LOL  Only joking!  Enjoy what's left of Sunday.

Awww my friend. (((((CHRIS)))))  Think you needed that. You had the weekend from hell, eh? Oh girl, we've all had em. Can't believe Grizzly pulled you down. Lucky you didn't break something. Sorry about your hair. I'd shoot myself without my highlights. LOL Bra shopping? Might as well call it torture. As for your brakes...at least YOU didn't run into the side of a 7-11!! I was pulling into the side of it an the mustang accelerated and the harder I pushed on the brake the faster it seemed to go!!  Well I wasn't going that fast...just fast enough to cave in the side of a brick building about a half foot. My air bag didn't even open and the only damage to MY car was a dent to the front license plate and some little chips in the paint. NOT A DENT! It even cracked the plaster on the inside office wall. LOL No one was hurt, and there was nothing wrong with my brakes. We found a hairbrush under the seat & they think part of it was under the break & part of it ON the accelerator. LOL DUMB blonde. I make sure there's nothing in the floorboard anymore. May not have had any damage to my car...but it cost a pretty penny to replace half a wall of a 7-11. My car is a very distinctive car sort of a bright amber convertible. Not another one like it in this town. I wouldn't go ANYWHERE  near that 7-11 for a lonnnnnng time. Hope this story gave you a chuckle. Needless to say I didn't go in to buy my lotto tix that day.LOLOL
Love ya friend. Hope you have a better week hun.
Hugs, Barb

I'm just glad you got home without wrecking the car.  THat would've scared the poop out of me. The food sounds delicious that he made.  I get really upset when I have to cut my hair off and did a few months back.  I had to.  It was so frizzy and broken.  It's cheaper to just go ahead and cut it and start over.  The thing is, the hair with me is part of my identity.  I'm attached to it.
Bra shopping for me is as stressful as shoe shopping.  I can't ever get a good fit.
I love a night when there's nothing on tv, now that I found this good movie site online.  Music, or a book or reading journals keeps me happy.  I'm so easy to be entertained that it doesn't say much for my IQ.

I snagged the tag.  I've had days like that.  The sad thing about my story is that it lasted for years and years.

Ugh, ice! One of our teachers fell on the ice a few weeks ago (probably about the time this entry was made) and broke her elbow.. she was on her way to the car to drive to school because we had a teacher work day due to the icy roads...AAGHHH! Stay home when the roads are bad, I say. But she had no idea the stairs were icy because she had just walked her dog only minutes earlier and had no problem getting around. Temperatures were dropping even then, and by the time she set out to get into her car, bammm! it happened. There was ice on the stairs and she slipped on it. Glad you didnt' break anything. Still, that was a bad spill. This is a late response, so I'm hoping all that soreness is gone by now. bea
