Dreams & Ramblings/Snag or Tags

Peaceful blue...love that color.  Floating on a ball...love that feeling.  I took two days of vacation for R&R for my shoulder and my mind.  Thurs was not so good.  Yesterday, I was able to float away in the pool and the sun and feel some of the pressure releasing.  My shoulder is still sore; I'm still preparing for a battle with Sears about the AC unit today, mentioned in my other journal but such is life.

LOL...I forgot to mention that in addition to a previous nicotine addiction (previous, blah, it still rears its ugly head but I persist and prevail), I have a sun addiction which I try to keep to a minimum and visit the dermatologist 4 times yearly.  So, sun and water is soothing and healing to my soul; taking a huge second to the ocean but that won't happen until I grow that money tree in my yard.

Now to a scare...Joey had a huge asthma attack last night which required a visit to the ER.  Actually, it was his first major attack since diagnosis and mild (which we found out later) but he was scared, as I would be if I couldn't breathe, and hyperventilated making it worse.  So please say some prayers for him as the weather is not helping a bit.

I still owe a couple of tags from a week or so ago.  I apologize and will get them to you guys today.

I'm hoping this journal doesn't expand beyond its margins.  Has AOL changed the width of our sidebars again?????  How did you guys get your journals back in whack again?  I've been messing with my other journal for two weeks now.

Anyway, Love & Hugs to all....Stay cool and enjoy!  CHRIS

I haven't noticed a change in width with my sidebar.  Maybe I better check it out.  I'm like you.  I worship the sun and the water.  If I lived closer to you, I'd be relaxing in your pool with you and we could enjoy some drinks at the same time.

Chris, Joey is in my prayers. Hope he gets it all under control and feels better soon. I noticed my journal column widths had changed awhile back, and I wondered about it... it finally self-corrected, or someone behind the aol scenes corrected it. I didn't do anything. I don't even think I emailed anyone at aol about it. My sidebar got bigger whenever I put graphics that were too big. For some reason, even now, it is slightly wider than it was last year, and I know I don't have any image too big for the sidebar width. Don't know why it doesn't line up properly, but it's a small inconvenience... probably something I've entered in the html code by accident. Have a good week. Be careful in the sun. Enjoy your time off. bea

Hope Joey gets over the asthma attack, that is frightening.
As far as sidebars go, I constrain my images to 150 px max (width=150 in the HTML).

Hi Chris - This humid weather is very hard on people with asthma. I hope Joey is feeling better. Is he on Advair? And does he keep an albuterol inhaler on him? Lots of experience with asthma over here, either with myself or my brother.   :/      You take care and I know you love the sun - but take it easy.
Hugs,
Pen

Dear Chris, I'm sorry about your shoulder and I  hope it is feeling much better by now....about the heat and sun? lol  I'm glad SOMEONE likes it, I'm SO ready for fall and winter to get here, it's just to blasted HOT in East Texas for my taste.  Lately it's been having a "feels like" temp of 100* to 104* with full humidity, doesn't even allow for the a/c in one's car to really work at all because of it.  About Joey?  I hope he's feeling much better - I will put him in my blessings wishes ... along with yourself.
May I please have the fairy GIF with Teresa on it?  Thank you!  Hugz, Teresa

Poor Joey, it must be pretty scary to not be able to breathe. I hope he's OK now. I've not had problems with journal width lately, it's so annoying to have to keep going back and editing. Have a great week! Jeannette xx

I love being out in the sun as well dear heart. This summer......it's been blah so I've actually been hibernating which is strange in itself for me. Way to go hon! Still going strong with no cigs. Keeping Joey in my prayers on the smoke! Someone once said to me having Asthma is like a fish out of water. I truly feel for him having an attack that severe. Deep Dark Blue is my fav. color. Like the Night time sky just before it's totally dark, or the sun rises. (Hugs) Indigo

I don't think there is anything scarier than witnessing an asthma attack in someone close to you.  My sister had asthma and I would tense up when I heard her wheezing as she slept with me.  I would sleep uneasily wondering how bad her breathing was going to be, so when my grandson showed signs of asthma old Grandma would feel like going out and running down the street away from watching him braathe.  I woujld be so relieved when his mother would come home to take him to the hospital or whatever he needed.  They are just plain scarey because without some very good medicine you just don't know ow bad they are going to get!   Gerry  http://journals.aol.com/gehi6/daughters-of-the-shadow-men/

{{{{{Chris}}}}}   I'm glad you had at least one good day out of the two you took off for some R&R!  Poor Joey!  Asthma sucks!  I had it as a kid, and so did my oldest... Brian.  He was in and out of the hospital on a pretty regular basis when he was a kid.  He and I have both pretty much outgrown it, but it still rears it's ugly head at times.  Such an awful feeling, to not be able to breath!

My thoughts and prayres are with him, my sweet friend, as they are with you too!

Feel Better!

Much love to you
Jackie

Sorry it's taken me a few days to get round. You know it's getting to where I can't find enugh hours in the day. SO Glad you are still not smoking.I can barely stand to go into a smoky bar, but when I rarely do, I don't have any trouble wanting one. LOL  Tommy came down with strep and of course couldn't smoke. I had high hopes he'd stay off them, but he couldn't. You are doing fantastic. Hope Joey is much better. The girls & I spent 2 hours out in the pool. when we were younger we'd all stay in the pool nearly all day .Not great on the skin. But I"m a tanner. Rarely ever burn. I had to slather the kids in suncreen. Have a good weekend girlfriend. Love ya, Barb
