Once again, which seems all too often lately, another JLander needs our prayers. If you haven't already, please drop by Jackie HOPE FLOATS with prayers, good thoughts and support. Jackie's sister has two lesions on her liver which may or may not be cancerous. This has not been the best year for Jackie. The power of JLanders banding together can produce miracles.
HUGS to all! (Snowflake siggy is taggable.)
I would really love to get back into tagging again but I have a bunch to catch up on. I'm not sure where I would tag this anyway. I really need to update my regular journal. I've sort of let that one slide a bit.
Here's a smaller version as I seem to be making some huge tags lately.
HAPPY HUMP DAY!
Grueling is the word I'd use to describe today. My head was pounding before I left the house. I had to pick her up at the hospital to take her to the medical offices. She had to get bloodwork done for Thurs. when she sees her endocrinologist for her thyroid disease. The poor kid. I thought the celiac disease which brought about osteoporosis and a destroyed thyroid was bad enough. She needs so much bloodwork done quarterly to check her Synthroid levels and also to ensure that she is gluten-free or her small bowel will be attacked again, thus causing malnutrition and lack of absorption of vitamins from food. Then it's off to the endocrinologist and GI doctors and a yearly bone scan. Now, it's the gyne.
First came the colposcopy which is a huge magnifying glass. The doctor looks for white areas which are the abnormal cells, squamous cells, in Megan's case because they were very white. He then took the hugest "snippers" I ever saw and clipped them for biopsy. So much for the little pinch. The tissues looked huge to me. Next was scraping. Not to be too graphic but my child was in pain when she left. She's a real trooper but we were both crying by the time she was done. Now, we wait. A week for the biopsy to be returned. Then the next stage will be the treatment, depending on the biopsy results. Ok, my years of medical transcription sometimes isn't a good thing because I heard him say something to the nurse about the stage of "CA"....medical abbreviation for carcinoma. I couldn't quite make out what he was saying so I'll say my prayers and wait.
Megan has to be the one informed since she is the patient. She will only hear part of it and then I'll have to call again. Those are the rules. I asked if they could call me because the results are coming back during her finals. Nope. She will be called.
We went to eat at a neat place on the South Side of Pittsburgh. Advil did cut the edge on the pain. Wouldn't you know, I was two minutes late getting back to the car and got a dang parking ticket for $11. Somehow, that didn't rock my boat too much.
The insurance adjuster is coming to look at the ceiling tomorrow morning. I need to take another day off. Thank the Lord I have almost three weeks of vacation days still but I still feel so guilty. I've been off so much lately. Randy, the plumber, called and said to run water down the drain to see if it was free flowing so that he could track the water and try to figure out where the actual leak is. It still wouldn't drain so I plunged and the depths of hell came flowing up out of my drain. I don't have a shop vac so I got old towels and soaked up the sludge. Man, what a stinking mess I have on my hands. I just wish he would cut the darned ceiling and repair the pipes so I can move on. Then, I need to find somone to put the ceiling back together and replaster. LOL...Merry Christmas to me, and to think last Christmas I was fussing over my $600 dual exhaust system present to myself on the car I don't have anymore. I gave that car back to my BF with the power steering about to go kaput.
Anyway, I'm just super tired. I did stop on the way to pick Megan up and shopped for some clothes. I haven't tried them on yet but nothing better to ease the blues than shopping.
Feel free to snag the tag, if you want. I'm sure I'll be playing some more in my PSP tonight. I can't thank all of you enough for your thoughts and prayers. I wasn't expecting today to be a day at the beach but we made it through. BIG HUGS! (I know I owe some tags. I'll be getting them done tomorrow.)
I'm getting ready to leave for Pittsburgh. Megan is having her biopsy and maybe some surgery done today. My nerves are raw so I've been occupying myself in the Paint Shop. Thank you all for your prayers. I'll let you know later what went on today. Much love to all of you! Chris
I made some big glitter boo-boos on this one, besides the fact that it came out huge but actually I don't hate it so snag away if you want.
The last of the snags. I guess you can tell what I've been doing most of the weekend. Have a good Monday!
I'm not sure if I like the twinkles on this one. I added frames, duplicated, sped it up, slowed it down, and then just saved the darned thing.
My temptation is to make all holiday tags right now. I had to make two tags for one of my PSP groups with the same frame and different tubes. I'll share them here before they go into reserve in my external drive. I've been keeping my hard drive less cluttered but can't part with much of anything so I store them in back up. There will come a time when I will have to do a clean up in my cluttered back up drive. Of course, I'm making room on my PC so that I can move all the stored Christmas things back on the hard drive so the vicious cycle continues...lol Have a good Saturday. It's sunny and 65 here today. Megan and I are trying to decide where to go for lunch.
MAKE A WISH

Off to work I go...yes, I work the day after Thanksgiving. No Black Friday shopping for me, thanks goodness...lol. Have a good day!
Let's not forget those who are serving our country during this holiday season. Blessings to all our men and women of the Armed Forces!
Ok...I promise I'm done for today. Give me a connection that works, and I go crazy.
I found the kitty one in my external drive. My tools aren't cooperating so the one eye is bugging me but the more I mess with it, the worse it gets. I think it's only snaggable...
Megan worked until 5:00 this morning. Mama couldn't sleep until she got home so guess what Mama was doing???? Hope there's something you like. (Warning: more coming..lol) BTW: 25 hrs and counting; no disconnects...whoo hoo!!
Tomorrow my DSL should be up and running (better be). I'll be catching up on all the tags you have requested.
These are three tags I made for tubes of the day in my group. My DSL is a mess. Actually, my phone lines are a mess. Embarq is coming Saturday to tear everything apart. I've had over 13,000 disconnections, according to Embarq, since Sprint installed the DSL in January. I have no idea what the guy did in February or didn't do when he said everything was fine.
Thank the Lord for the $5.00 a month I paid for line protection. All the work for cost me nothing, except aggravation. Needless to say, I'm just so aggravated today. I spent most of the morning fussing with Blue Cross and various doctors' offices on the coding for some bills I was charged for, and my bathtub upstairs is so clogged it's beyond plunging. I can't use my old stand-by, Drano, because it will eat the fiberglass away. LOL...venting in my graphics journal. Maybe I need to look more closely at the first tag and count my blessings.
I will get the other one tagged and sent when my connection holds. By the way, of course, the new modem arrived and was worse than this old one.
Another sort of "dark" tag. Must be my mood although I don't feel particularly dark. I took the Colorgenic thing I've been seeing in journals, and, yep, my results are a little harsh for some reason.
Last one for today...lol...when I can't sign on, I can still use the Paint Shop.
Another tube challenge from my group. I ventured into animating my own clouds, and this is probably the third time I've changed this one.
As many of you know, I've had PC and connection problems for a week. I cleaned out 2,000 or so graphics that I had in my pictures that I didn't ever use. I also got rid of some tubes that I'll never use. My tags, not to fear, they will always be availble. I store them in my external back up drive to free up my hard drive.
I've had these two tags for a while. I made them for different reasons for my PSP group. Now, they are going to rest in the back up drive.
The watermark on the next one was from my PSP group for an animation contest. Of course, I forgot to save one without. I actually won this one, unbelievably, since animations aren't my best. D, remember ages ago, I asked about removing a watermark...lol? This is it. The group has also had a name change to LiLAngelicDesigns. Think I like that much better.
Another experiment for my PSP group; and, of course, my new toy....SNOW...hehe
Wow, I've been online almost 10 minutes...I set a record for tonight. I may be able to accomplish some visits tomorrow.
Anyone else experiencing AOL problems?????
