I liked this tube and felt animation would take away from it. Some I just don't feel need the extra sparkle. Obviously, I make things I like for myself and share them.
Diva in a Glass...just a silly, simple one put together for snag or tag..........
I'm working on your requests. You should have them all within the next day or two.
I'm going to take this opportunity to share my PSP history with all of you since Dianna picked this journal as one of her choices. I am in my rookie stages of PSP, very rookie. Shelly (Roxy)Roxy's Graphics2 sent me PSP 7 back in December. It blew my mind. She patiently taught me layering and the basics. I was so lost. She then sent me PSP 9, which I'm using now. The Animation Shop was totally mind blowing. I put that on hold for quite a while. D from D's Designs D's Designs and This and That Hockey This and that, and hockey! spent a good bit of time helping me with glitter and twinkles. D also lends her honest, constructive criticism which I appreciate. That's the only way to learn. I had to take a month away from PSP when my computer blew on me. I've been back for two weeks now and plugging away.
I started this graphics journal for my own benefit to begin with. I wanted to watch for signs of improvement. I didn't advertise when I started it because I was so green and the tags were pretty crude. I still think they are so-so at times. I sort of have my own unique style...LOL...if you want to call it that. I don't use typical backgrounds. I will take a flower like above and use it. Sort of odd but that's me...I do unusual, I guess you could say.
I also do PSP for relaxation. Many times, I will create a tag to fit my mood for the day. It's sort of a safety valve that keeps me from blowing.
The tags are created with the help of the many talented folks who create the tubes, brushes, gradients, etc. that we who do PSP put together to make our own creations.
I feel honored that Dianna chose this journal but also very humble because I'm not even close to the level of creation that the many others who have graphics journals are at. I would like Angel, Angela and Anna's journals but I think most of J-Land has the links. Dianna has her own graphics journal. She is an artist. It shows in her creations. They are so lovely. Just Taggin' Along And Back Talkin' There is another lovely graphics journal out there by Diama, whose regular journal was chosen by Dianna. Chocolate Cherried Creations Diama/Cherry is 17 and suffers from sickle cell anemia. She is a rookie but you can't tell from her creations.
I want to thank all of you for visiting. Many of you have been with me from the beginning. I thank you for your kind comments and thank D for your e-mails that correct my imperfections, of which there are many. And a big thanks to D for sending me the Animation Shop again when I got my back up computer.
Keep visiting....I hope you will see even more improvement.
CHRIS
Thought I'd add my Pink Shoe creation. Sort of springy.....
First one for Lisa Jo....glitter was sloppy...the accent in the top right corner is not placed up far enough......
LOL...second shot below...grrrr....
The glitter is sharper but the top accent is too far to the right and cut off....revision in progress.... Most won't notice but those who do PSP will........the slightest stuff placed off target looks so obvious. Of course, I didn't notice it until after I had the darned glitter done and saved.
So, this is a preview. I don't have time right now to mess with it.
LOL..I managed to get Tink's wings glittered. I made Deb into Debbie coz I like the star on the "i".
Now, some more messing around with St. Patty's stuff.
Glitter and no glitter....Tink looks better.
And just another background. D, the background was misted yesterday. It was set on opaque. I changed it to transparent....still came out the same. I did some investigating.....misted. Live and learn...lol...
I'm not real happy with these. The two below are experiments. I hate the blue twinkles but it was the first and got sent. I redid it. For some reason, after going through the Animation Wizard, there is a gray outline where it was cropped. Any ideas why this happened from those of you who do PSP? It didn't have the outline before the animation was added..............
This is a very different entry for me but something I feel needs to be shouted out loud and clear. This is my own personal crusade.
I made this tag the other day for a very special lady, Lisa Jo Damaged Goods. Lisa Jo is an example of an adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Many do not realize the damage that is caused to a child's psyche from sexual and physical abuse. It doesn't just go away, and is carried into adulthood. Adult survivors of an abusive childhood. It is far more prevalent than any of us would care to imagine. A child is not asked to be brought into this world and deserves a safe haven of unrequited love.
This tag could also apply to my two oldest children who grew up with a verbally abusive and sometimes physical abusive, alcoholic father with a mother who was too insecure to get them out of that household; not realizing the damage that was being caused to their emotions and self esteem. I am only beginning to forgive myself for this. My love was not enough to shield them.
They are damaged; not broken. Damage can be repaired. It takes much love; prayers and reinforcement that God didn't create them to fail; much treatment, at times; and time itself.
The best gift any parent can give a child is a safe, loving environment.
