I'm finally starting to deal with the fact that Penny is not going to be around anymore. Wierd because there was have a couple of times I was going to e-mail her something and then remembered I couldn't. I can't even imagine what her family and friends are going through. I do know she would not want us to mourn forever.
I had a long weekend which was just what the doctor ordered. I'm on my second round of antibiotics and am starting to feel some energy again. It's been in the 90's here for a week. Actually, I love it; wish we had had this type of weather this past summer. Love the heat but it's breaking tomorrow and getting more back to normal.
Now to AOL.....on Friday night, my AOL, once again, vanished totally from the pc. This happened in April. So, I went onto explorer to find an AOL 9.0 download, which is VR now but that's what I've had on here since April. I uninstalled, reinstalled, made sure it opened and went to bed. Got up Saturday morning and noticed my "you've got e-mail" had a distinct British accent. I know how many pounds the jackpot is. I get Shreddies ads at the bottom of my e-mail. LOL..guess it's better than what Donna has at the bottom of hers.
When I write an e-mail, color, humor, favorite come up as spelling errors. You see, it should be humour, favourite, colour because I'm writing British e-mails. This is just cracking me up. I could even find me a man from the UK on AOL dating. Obviously, I downloaded the UK version of 9.0VR.
I figured Joey would get up Saturday and flip thinking I messed with the computer again. He didn't really even notice which really made me laugh. I will eventually download the US version. I have it in my favorites. BTW: it took a few minutes for my favorites to pop up so I'm not in any rush to mess with the AOL again.
So, to my friends in the UK, enjoy those Shreddies.

I too have had lots of probs this week Chris with my pooter.In fact ever since I came back off my hol.I did read AOL had relased two new patches whilst I was away and I will never be convinced this isn't the reason why Grrrr.I came online yesterday and all my favoutires were tripled Grrrr My IE was missing from my all progams list oh I could go on and onAlso read the same has happened to another j/land member too..Not been online much this week for that reason.I ams ick to death of rectifying things.Wrote to Joe all he rtells you to do is clear your footprints which I always do anyway Gr.I hope you soon feel 100% and back to happy Chris.LOL! That's funny everytime I get a download from aol it changes my email settings to US version which is relly annoying as so many words are spelt differently to Uk and I have to change the settings back lol. Will aol ever get anything right!

I think that is funny. I almost downloaded the UK version myself until I decided not to mess with it aol for fear of messing up my online phone (not aol). I am afraid to touch it, so I make do with free version. Better than having 9.0 version going crazy on me. Glad you are starting to feel better. Am going to snag a Halloween thing to head my story on the Larry and Billye latest. They are till haunting the place. Gerry
One time, I signed off of AOL and it was of course the english version. The next day, signed on and it was the spanish version and stayed that way. Now how does that happen?? LOL

First, hope you feel better real soon. And yes, you will take time to heal your heart over your friends death...I am so sorry, with I had known her. As for AOL...LOL waking up to the UK version was funny...been there done that with the Japanese version, VERY SERIOUS here...LOL I wondered if I had lost my mind. LOL Hope it is all working right now...so far so good for me.

I'm glad you had a nice long weekend. Everyone needs one of those once in a while, especially if you haven't been feeling well, and needed the rest.
I'm so sorry we weren't able to get together while I was in PA, Chris. I just got so depressed after Wednesday (and my fabulous FALL) that I didn't do much of anything but gimp around at my cousins house.. :( I swear I am never going on vacation again! It's far to dangerous!

I'm so sorry about your friend, Penny. I didn't know her, but have heard many wonderful tributes to her, she must have been amazing. I know what you mean about starting to email....and then remembering you can't. I lost a dear cousin a few months ago and have started to email or call her many times, and then had to remind myself it is no longer possible. I still have her on my buddylist....can't seem to remove her name.

It makes sense they have a British accent but it just seems too funny to me. I thought they would have the same voice in all versions. LOL
