Valentine's Day Tags 2008

 

 

The unveiling of 2008 valentine tags...a cold and snowy day here in Pa.  I have another day off although I have no idea why I'm wasting my vacation days when the weather is so yucky.  Actually, besides my computer acting up, I was sick most of the weekend with a splitting sinus headache plus this frigid cold isn't boding well with the shoulder.  All in all, I wish more and more each year that I could hibernate for the winter.  Anyway, the above is snag only.  I doubt I could find space to tag it.  Which brings me to my other tags.  I seem to have lost my tag making "mojo"  (oh Lord, stop me...lol).  I've deleted far more than I saved.

Blinkie SNAGS

I'll be getting the remainder of the tags to all of you.  Sorry for the delay.  I hate posting new tags and entries when I haven't finished the last ones.  I, of course, was blaming AOL, which I'm sure is causing some problems but I did a system restore today to about 10 days ago.  Keeping my fingers crossed....the straw that broke the camel's back was my Paint Shop kept freezing and shutting down every time I tried to save something.  Can't have that now can we??

Spreading a little bit of love here.  Anyway, it's been a super busy week for me for some reason.  The weather was really nice but the snow is falling again tonight.

Some of you have been asking about my Day in the Life journal.  It's sort of just sitting there lonely and abandoned.  The main reason being I don't have the time to keep up with two journals so I sort of blended my chatter into this journal.  Not that I seem to have much to chatter about anymore. 

Today was grocery shopping and football.  I actually got 50 cents a gallon off of gas today because of fuel perks.  Gas is $3.19.  I paid $2.69.  I cannot believe how much gas costs and how much food has gone up lately.

So, my biggest worry this weekend was my Grizzly.  I had to cut back his Rimadyl severely in the fall because it was causing his liver enzymes to get out of whack.  He was doing pretty well on the lower dose.  Yesterday afternoon, I took him out.  He wanted to go to the back so I walked him to the end of our property.  We got halfway back, and his hind legs just gave out on him.  I didn't think I was going to get him in the house.  I was soooo upset.  He could barely walk.  I've increased the Rimadyl back to the maximum dosage for the time being.  It took two doses before he was steady again.  Wow, was I a basket case until he was able to walk gain.  My boy will be 11 in March.  That's old for a large dog. 

Today was hamburger Sunday.  Joey mixes all kinds of stuff in the burgers, and I grill them.  It was a pretty nice afternoon for mid January.  I have stuffed peppers simmering on the stove for tomorrow.  Didn't I say my life was exciting.  Well, one more full week of work and then a long weekend for the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday.

Oops, and I'm storing my a lot of my stuff in Fotki because that last siggy tag was an AOL nightmare to send.  I'mstill going to send what I can but I've been messing around with Fotki and started uploading stuff in there.  ROFL...I didn't realize how easy it was to sort things alphabetically.  I'm so challeneged.  Here's the link:  Public Home | Mschrissyb | Fotki.com   I put some tags in there that have been hanging around on my external drive that I never posted.

HAPPY 2008/Snags or Tags

            

 

LOL, I've rolled out of my time machine and voila....blonde and beautiful.  Actually, my BF has been sick with some kind of crud since last Friday so I spent NY's Eve to my own devices.  Of course, this meant, playing in PSP.  I haven't done that in a long time.  Naturally, I whined and moaned and groaned about being home on New Year's Eve but really that is only minor. 

We are all going to my mother's today for sauerkraut and pork.  This is the traditional New Year's Day meal for most of Pa.  In fact, it is supposed to bring bad luck if you don't have sauerkraut on New Year's Day.  And, of course, it is bad luck not to kiss the one you love at midnight...grrrr.

We are back into the snow thing and cold which I hate.  Becky's BF, Matt, may show up today or then again may not.  Who can tell?  Enough rambling.

Oops, before I forget, I found Christmas cards from JLand last night stuck under a pile of junk mail....Thanks Jan, LJ, Jackie and Barb!  I think that's it although there could be more stuck in my mess.

My resolution for this year...I don't make em but my goal is to visit all the journals that I'm missing and keep up with my alerts.
